All-on-4 is a surgical technique that consists of placing a fixed arch dental prosthesis in the upper and/or lower jaw through 4 implants. Unlike traditional implants that use 8 or more.
If the the upper arch has low bone density, 6 dental implants are needed to achieve the suport necesary for the prosthesis, then the treatment is called All-on-6.
What makes it different from traditional dental implants?
- Rehabilitation of the complete arch with only four implants. Better implant distribution with two straight implants in the front and two inclined up to 45 degrees in the back.
- Immediate function. Eliminates the need of removable prosthesis, increasing function and comfort the day of the surgery.
- Procedure without grafts. Bone grafting is avoided by tilting the posterior implants using the available bone, decreasing morbility, healing periods and waiting time for the final prosthesis to be placed.
